As primarily a tenant leasing representative broker, it is important to clearly qualify “tenants” before spending time showing and negotiating space in order to save both the tenant and broker time. Tenants need to clarify clearly with the broker what their “wants” and “musts” are for a space. And most importantly their budget and timing to acquire space. Brokers should clearly explain the current market conditions with regard to rental rates and availability in the market being searched to their clients.
