Simplify Your Move – Hire a Move Manager

Many companies that relocate in Southern California find out at the eleventh hour, how exhausting and time consuming the move process becomes in the last 30 days.  And then forget key items that need to be dealt with at the last minute – “oh yeh – we need an electrical outlet near where we want the printer/copier to go”.  While a professional “moving company” does the heavy lifting, and in some cases provides a “Supervisor or Project Manager”, a Move Manager, like Kane Consulting, takes it one step further than a mover.  We ask and ask and ask about everything that potentially will impact your business relocation and assure that every item is planned or “handled” in plenty of time (technology issues, central filing areas, change of address, business licenses, new appliances needed, mail machine changes, bottled water companies, insurance for vendors, scheduling of elevators, etc.).  As Move Managers, we not only manage your business relocation, we advise you to pack up on Friday and come back on Monday to unpack – so you can be “refreshed in your new space” Monday am!  We manage your move over the weekend so you don’t have to.  We will hire IT specialists to assure your telephones and internet connections are up and running on day one!  Most companies we relocate – are fully operational by Noon the Monday after the move.  While traditional movers – handle the “heavy lifting” – we handle everything else.  Give us a call for a move management budget.  It’s more reasonable than you think – and will assure your business is up and running with minimal downtime.   Specializing in all areas in Southern California from 5 employees to 1,000+!

Commercial Office Space in El Segundo, CA

Thanks to its prime location, diverse business base and affordable leasing rates that make it a viable alternative to the pricier West Los Angeles and Downtown markets, El Segundo has recovered nicely from the high-tech downturn of several years ago and continues to flourish despite difficult economic times. With major projects such as Northrop Grumman’s expansion and the arrival of two new data centers, El Segundo has seen its Class A office space vacancy rate, which had risen as high as 23 percent just a few years ago, drop below 10 percent (9.8 percent) for the first time in nearly a decade.

El Segundo is also prized for its affordable leasing rates, which are considerably lower than those of West Los Angeles and other key business sectors.

More Fortune 500 companies are headquartered in El Segundo than any other city in California except for San Francisco.

Currently, a 40% tax credit based on sales tax generated in one year is available. This credit may be used to offset up to 100% of the business license tax liability in any given year.

Utility User Tax Comparison

El Segundo boasts one of the region’s lowest utility user tax rates; another of the many advantages to operating a business here. The following chart illustrates comparable utility user taxes among notable ccommunities within 20 minutes of El Segundo.

City Utility Tax (Water, Gas & Phone)
Burbank 7%
Culver City 11%

Big Red Button Entertainment

As a cost conscious founder of video gaming startup looking to relocate 20+ employees, I assumed a move manager would be out of our budget. I was mistaken. Barbara’s oversight on all aspects of the move from vendor selection to management saved us time and money, allowing me to focus on running the studio, and enabled us to show up at our new location after the move weekend without any downtime.
