Kane closes client office in Schaumburg, Illinois

Our long-time client’s staff are working from home in Illinois so they no longer needed their office space.  Phil from Kane coordinated the closing of this office which involved getting most of the furniture donated, the electronics e-wasted and to have the movers leave the space in broom clean condition for an on time turn back to the Landlord.  The Landlord was pleased with how the space was left and our client got their security deposit back.  Thanks to Phil for a fabulous coordination and for braving the cold weather in early March in Illinois – and it was cold!

Client moves from 5,000/sq.ft. to Executive Suite Office

What we are seeing in many industries is the downsizing of many offices.  One of our Irvine client’s office lease was up March 1, 2023 and they decided that since 99% of their staff was working from home 95% of the time, it was time to try something new and save some money in office rent.  As the lease was coming up, we assisted them in securing a Regus Executive Suite in Irvine.  Our project became more of a decommission (getting rid of like new furniture, removing cabling from ceiling, etc.).  We were able to find homes for some of the furniture and encouraged the employees to take home their ergonomic chairs among other items. Kane was invited to take some much needed office supplies and equipment as well.  We tried to recycle most items.  The executive suite lease is 1 year long – so we’ll check back with them to see if that is fitting the bill in a year or whether employees want to come back into the office more.  The nice thing about Executive Suites is they can be month-to-month or year-to-year…giving lots of flexibility for uncertain clients during uncertain changing times.

From Full to Empty – Office Liquidation/Decommission in Bakersfield,CA

You can see the dramatic and quick change an office goes through when it is moved or closed. For this project we “decommissioned” an almost 3,000 sq feet space for a long-time client who decided not to renew their lease. To comply with the lease, we made sure the space was emptied completely and left in “broom-clean” condition. For offices like this one, that have been at this location for over a decade, this means alot of accumulated furniture and office supplies. Kudos to the Mover Services, Inc. team! They were  instrumental in getting everything out and disposed of properly, without them this project would not have been a success.
