Kane Consulting nears completion of a project for Ventura Foods in Fort Worth, Texas. A year-long endeavor that included a commercial test kitchen and R&D lab.
The Kane team traveled to Ft. Worth, Texas to meet with the construction team for the new Ventura Foods Research & Development Test Kitchen at the construction kick-off meeting. “Everyone is dotting the “I’s” and crossing the “T’s” preparing for construction which is slated to begin in mid-November and be completed in the spring,” says project manager, Jon Stokes.
Kane Consulting has been retained by Brea based food manufacturer Ventura Foods to manage the building of a new test kitchen in their Ft. Worth, Texas office. This will be the second such project that Kane has managed for Ventura Foods, having managed the construction of their most recent test kitchen in their Brea, California headquarters in 2015. The new Ft. Worth facility will be very similar in design to the Brea facility and will incorporate a commercial kitchen, research & development laboratories and a blind taste testing area, along with offices and a training facility. “We are very excited to be partnering again with Ventura Foods on this new test kitchen in Ft. Worth” says Kane Consulting President Barbara Kane. “Having helped design and build the Brea project will allow Kane to be even more effective in giving Ventura Foods another state-of-the-art facility” says Kane.

Our own Barbara Kane, along with the design/project team for our client’s new Ventura Foods R&D Center facility (pictured below), attended the 2016 Calibre Design Awards Gala in Beverly Hills on May 13, 2016. They were nominated for Team Award in the category of “Work Medium.” The team included firms: Environetics, Robert Ginsberg and Associates, Howard Building Corporation, Interior Office Solutions, and Kane Consulting. The Ventura Foods R&D Center project was not a category winner, but all that attended enjoyed the evening and cheering on excellence in their fellow LA area colleagues in the field.

Our clients, Ventura Foods, LLC and Ventura Foods Innovation Center both had murals installed in their newly refreshed and new spaces this month. These murals are the icing on the cake for the Innovation Center’s new location and the renovation of the 5th floor of Ventura Foods’ Headquarters, both in Brea, CA. Kane Consulting continues to work closely with both companies throughout their renovation and relocation projects from start to finish. A big thanks to the team at Sylvia Greer Artworks for their tremendous help in getting these murals produced and installed, as well as, ordering and installing all the artwork within these two spaces!
Kane Consulting was happy to assist a long-standing client, Ventura Foods Innovation Center, with moving their test kitchen facilities from City of Industry to a new location in Brea. It was icing on top of the cake after our own Jon Stokes coordinated the build-out of their new space with the Ventura Foods’ Headquarters nearby. Congratulations Jon on a job well done! The facility looked terrific as we moved in all of the equipment and employee contents. Early morning showers couldn’t slow the move down. With our own Kim Ward at the helm, we quickly got everything moved, unloaded, and placed in time for the weekend!
Congratulations on the Grand Opening of Ventura Foods’ Headquarters Lobby, Exhibit Space & Conference Center on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015! The space turned out spectacular! This project was successful due to each member of the entire project team that worked on it. So thank yous all around for your hard work and due diligence!
