Office Move

In the worst snow storm in 40 years, Kane manages a move and construction project in Portland, Oregon!

It never surprises us when something unexpected happens in our projects and moves.  However, we certainly were surprised at the snow storm that hit the day of our move – February 22, 2023!  Despite the snow, cold and ice – we did manage to get all the client’s items to their new location.  Decommissioning of their existing space (recycling furniture, etc.) however was not as easy.  Due to the storm, the recycling center and dump were both closed on February 23, 2023… so all we could do was load trucks and wait a day in hopes of those places opening again.  It did delay the move, but did not delay us from getting our client out of their old space on time.  All broom clean and turned over by end of the month!  Another successful corporate relocation.

Law Firm Moves from Santa Ana to Costa Mesa

Kane’s long time client, Lawrence Beach Allen & Choi’s Orange County Office relocated in mid – February 2023. We have moved their Orange County Office 3 times now in 15 years!  It’s gratifying when a law firm understands the benefits of “move and project management” over and over again. This is a great group of lawyers and staff.  We were also able to repurpose some like “new” private office furniture from another client to this law firm at no charge except for the physical moving expense by the movers.  Going “green” is always a plus! Here are a few photos of their previous office space and a few of their new office space.

Successful Move + What a View!

Months of planning went into this successful relocation by Kane Consulting.  It’s the perfect conclusion into this beautiful space (with a gorgeous library!).  This was a large move for Kane, but we came together, worked hard, and are happy because our client is happy. We are excited for what’s coming next and are grateful and proud to all who participated on this move with us.

Home Depot – Woolsey Fire Heros!

The Home Depot store in Torrance, CA was extremely generous to Donna’s family during the Woolsey firestorm.  They donated three air purifiers, filtration masks and batteries, and even gave Donna a $200 discount towards the purchase of a new washing machine.  We thank them (especially Sam, the General Manager) for their kindness and generosity…they are our hometown heros!

Kennedy/Jenks Consultants Close to Move-In at Murrieta Office

San Francisco based Kennedy/Jenks Consultants is preparing for their late October move into their new office in Murrieta, California. Kane Commercial Real Estate assisted them in finding and negotiating the lease for this new office and Kane Consulting is managing the tenant improvements and move from their current office in Temecula. This new office will be the first where a new furniture standard is put in place. “The new office will have a much different feel that other Kennedy/Jenks offices with less offices, modular furniture and a much more open feel” say Barbara Kane. This new standard will be employed in Kennedy/Jenks new offices in both Walnut Creek and Irvine in 2017 and 2018″ says Barbara.

Corporate Moves – Tip of the Day

When planning a corporate move and bidding to various office movers, have the different movers come in at the same time to walk the location to prepare for their bid. This way, the movers all hear the same details about the move. This will assure that your company gets an “apples-to-apples” bids.
